About

Named after a sailboat. Built for smooth delivery.

Kerfany is a small software engineering studio based in Paris, working with companies across Europe and Asia.

The story behind the name

Kerfany was my father’s boat.

She was a small sailboat that belonged to my father, Philippe De Jaeger.

When we started the company, the name came naturally. Sailing well is calm and steady: you prepare the boat properly, then you move smoothly, whatever the weather. That is how I believe software should be built and shipped.

Why we started

Shipping software shouldn’t hurt.

Too many teams lose time and sleep to their own software. Deployments are dreaded, a small change feels risky, and cleaning up old code gets put off for years.

It doesn’t have to be that way. We started Kerfany to help companies get software delivery that is calm and reliable: change a feature, refactor some code, release it, and move on.

Who we are

Two founders, hands on.
